TV Companion is a fun way to get more information about the TV show you are watching. Amazingly, it identifies the TV show you are watching by listening to the iPad microphone. TV Companion provides you with a wealth of additional information about the cast. See photos of them, read their bios, see if they have stuff for sale on Amazon.
With a simple tap of the iPad screen, TVC listens to the same TV show you are watching and then provides you a list of the cast members and links to explore:
o Their Wikipedia biography
o What movies they have made
o Other TV shows they appear in
You can also browse photos of the actors. If you have a special interest you can narrow the search by including additional search words.
TV Companion is designed to lead you on an exciting exploration of your favorite stars.
The fine print:
1. TVC only works on 90 common cable and broadcast TV stations in the continental U.S.
2. You are limited to 20 synchronizations in each 24 hour period (thats a lot).
3. TVC does not work on content that has been time-shifted by more than a few hours. So it will not work on your DVR content from three days ago. (Were working on this.)
